Clamp Head Rotation in CNC Forging Manipulators
Clamp head rotation is one of the key functions of a CNC forging manipulator. It allows the operator to turn the billet, shaft or forged part during the forging process.
This is useful in open die forging because different sides of the workpiece often need to be processed. Controlled rotation helps improve workpiece positioning and reduces the need for manual handling.
The hydraulic forging manipulator can support clamping, lifting, feeding and clamp head movement according to the application. It can be used with open die forging presses and forging hammers.
When selecting a manipulator, clamping torque, billet size, jaw design and rotation requirements should be considered. Wiz Machinery can help match the correct WM forging manipulator to your forging production line.
